I am really impressed by both the versatile functionality and simplistic beauty of these Juuri Glasses by Sarah Böttger. The various glass containers can be combined with plastic rings and disks to create new vessels. The rings create larger, open vessels whilst the disks create divided chambers.

Jon Bjornsson's Flower Eruption vases and bowls are made from the black volcanic sand of Icelandic beaches. Vases are cast in paper moulds. The sand is mixed with resin and the mould is filled from the bottom. After the resin dries the mould is torn off and the finished vase appears. Wow!

Perle Parfumée, designed by the Japanese Parisian Miya Shinma, is a scented sphere for sachets and home aromatherapy. “This is a monograph for one of the best and oldest high-schools in Zagreb, the 5th Gymnasium. We packaged the book in a pencil-case filled with school utensils (pens, pencils, rulers, etc.) Everything was custom made for this project and branded with school’s visual identity. The school’s curriculum emphasizes mathematics - this idea is reflected in visual identity (upside-down 5 reads like a G).”

"A scattering of books hangs precipitously from the ceiling, as if a pile of books had been thrown into the sky and frozen. The curved wall surrounding the seating area is covered in wallpaper made entirely of open spine books, the texture of the print adds a rippling effect of restless pages. Running along the wall is a series of folding single tables, carefully crafted to resemble a folded book when closed."
